|Sweet sweet music.
eatmusik began its corporate sponsorship of Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy Australia in 2010. Through the use of its Golden Stave Music Therapy Centre, this non-profit organisation provides internationally recognised music therapy. Registered Music Therapists use the power of music to help children and adults cope with physical and intellectual disabilities, autism, trauma, illness, dementia, behaviour disorders and learning difficulties.
Since becoming a member, eatmusik proudly volunteers its resources whilst also donating a portion of its profits quarterly. This help together with the help of others assists the centre in subsidising the fees of clients in difficult financial circumstances who attend the music therapy clinics, whilst also aiding in the purchasing of much needed musical instruments and supplies.
Originally established in 1984 there are now six centres operating in as many countries. Some notable Australian NRMT Ambassadors include Jimmy Barnes, Marcia Hines, Neil Finn, Andrew Fariss and Iva Davies.
